EasyBusiness held an online event “Strengthening Ukraine’s European Integration Institutions: Lessons from International Experience.”

In June 2022, Ukraine received candidate status for EU membership. In addition to fulfilling the Association Agreement, the government must now meet the requirements for membership and implement the entire body of EU law into Ukrainian legislation. The Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration faces several tasks. The fulfillment of these tasks will determine Ukraine’s EU membership. However, the current coordination process contains several gaps that need to be addressed.

What are these gaps? What changes need to be implemented as soon as possible to increase the efficiency of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration? These and other important European integration issues were discussed at the event “Strengthening Ukraine’s European Integration Institutions: Lessons from International Experience.”

The head of the analytical department of EasyBusiness presented the results of the study “Assessment of the Institutional Capacity of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.” After the presentation, a panel discussion was held on the topic “Ukraine’s Potential to Attract EU Business in Post-War Recovery and European Integration” with the participation of experts and government representatives.
