$200,000 for Business Growth and Mentorship: An Education and Grant Program by IREX and EasyBusiness

Continue to support Ukrainian business. IREX and NGO EasyBusiness, within the framework of the program “Unity for Action,” are launching the educational and grant program “Restart for IDPs.” Register to participate in the program and get a chance to win a grant of $10,000 for business development and mentoring support from leading experts.

Who is the program for?

Owners of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses founded by IDPs or relocated and currently operating are invited to participate in the “Restart for IDPs” program

.

The winners of the program will receive a $10,000 grant and will also be able to:

  • develop their business skills;
  • learn to build business strategies and study the market;
  • increase business competitiveness;
  • boost the export potential of the enterprise;
  • receive individual mentoring support from leading business trainers.

The mentors of the project, EasyBusiness experts, will accompany MSMEs during the implementation of their projects and provide mentoring, consulting, and administrative support.


Program requirements

The following may participate in the program: Limited Liability Companies (LLC), Individual Entrepreneurs (FOP), or Private Enterprises (PE), which are micro, small, or medium-sized businesses according to the current legislation of Ukraine.


Place of registration: The enterprise must be registered and actually operating in any of the 18 target regions of the program (Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv regions).


Date of enterprise registration: before 01.01.2024


Founder/Head – IDP: the enterprise must be founded and headed by an IDP after forced displacement, or it can be a relocated enterprise whose founder/head received an IDP certificate after moving the business. The fact of forced internal displacement must be documented.

Important: Any legal entity or individual entrepreneur from the list above may submit one application for participation in the program and funding.

The strategic goal of the “Unity for Action” program is to integrate displaced people and businesses into the life and economy of communities, to promote national recovery through the effective mobilization of IDPs’ efforts and potential.


“Unity for Action” is a program that provides internally displaced persons with the opportunity to become leaders in issues of community cohesion, to head support structures, to strengthen their resilience, and to contribute to the national recovery of Ukraine. The program is implemented by the international organization IREX with the support of the U.S. Department of State.
