Training course “Influentials” to improve youth skills in creating projects in their communities
more than 160 participants fully completed the training program and developed 35 projects for 25 of their communities; launched the educational series “How to create projects in communities” on the Diia.Education platform.
Piloting the megacommunity approach based on cooperation among several municipalities around priority economic sectors
developed a Roadmap for sheep farming development in the Carpathian region and materials on cooperative development in communities; 150+ community representatives completed trainings on conducting surveys, local economic development, and an offline training on project development; 500+ community representatives were involved in the project through participation in surveys, round tables, strategic sessions.
Conducting research and promoting the concept of “growth poles” as a tool for the development of communities and regions
carried out the most comprehensive analysis of international experience in implementing the “growth poles” concept; developed an interactive dashboard for adaptive identification of growth poles based on available indicators; developed hypotheses for further piloting of the concept.
Assisting an international organization in selecting partner communities
analyzed the environment of international projects aimed at community recovery; developed a methodology for assessing the capacity of communities for international cooperation based on 10+ indicators; conducted a 3-stage assessment and selected 10 communities prioritized for building partnerships.
Update of the Recovery and Development Strategy of Odesa region for 2021–2027
engaged more than 500 local stakeholders to form a shared vision for the region’s development; analyzed the state of the region due to the impact of the war, developed the strategy and action plan for its implementation; prepared practical recommendations for the development of regional strategies.
Research of strategic planning processes after the beginning of the full-scale invasion
conducted a political-economic analysis of recovery processes at the national, regional, and local levels; identified the roles and positions regarding changes for each actor involved in the recovery and strategic planning process; developed recommendations for representatives of all three levels to improve these processes.
